U.S. Border Patrol agents on Friday discovered a tunnel used by drug traffickers that stretched 130 feet under the concrete-lined Rio Grande from Mexico into the U.S. -- a surprising find and the first such tunnel in El Paso.

The crudely made tunnel, about 2 feet high and 2 feet wide, was found near the Bridge of the Americas, officials said.

The Beverly Hills woman arrested in Columbus with 13 suitcases full of marijuana this month pleaded not guilty this morning to federal drug charges.

At her request, no bond was set in U.S. District Court for Lisette Lee, 28.

Her attorney, Bill Meeks, said he wants to further investigate Lee's circumstances before asking a federal magistrate to set bond.

An employee at a marijuana dispensary in Hollywood was killed Thursday night during an apparent robbery, police said. The death was reported about 9:05 p.m. in the 1600 block of North El Centro Avenue, just north of the Hollywood Palladium, according to Los Angeles police.

"It is a homicide," Officer Karen Rayner of Los Angeles police Media Relations said, adding she did not how the person died. "It appears to be a robbery."
