Officers of southern Drug Control Central Administration arrested the suspects in illegal possession of drugs. The officers seized over 57 kilograms of drugs, according to law enforcement agencies.

Reportedly, as a result of preventive operations officers raided the houses of villagers in Nichke-Sai of Jalal-Abad region and seized hashish, marijuana, cannabis.

Border Patrol agents at the Interstate 19 checkpoint near Tubac seized more than 3,750 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of more than $3 million on Thursday.

According to a Border Patrol news release, Nogales-based agents at the checkpoint used a Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) system to detect an anomaly in the trailer. A canine team then took a closer look and alerted to a hidden compartment containing the marijuana.

Four men have faced court charged with conspiring to import more than half-a-tonne of cocaine into Australia.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) arrested the men in Sydney yesterday.
