Authorities seized about $2.3 million worth of heroin from an apartment in the city's Crescentville section in a raid that led to the arrests of three suspected drug dealers, police said Friday.

Police have not yet released the names of those arrested, in hopes that they will share information about drug dealers and possibly crimes.

The Civil Guard have intercepted more than three tons of cannabis resin in two separate operations which took place on the western coast of Málaga province in recent days. The first haul was on Sunday evening at the marina in Marbella from a yacht which had been under surveillance since the previous day. Two people were taken into custody on that occasion, F.J.A.S. and A.G.M., neither of whose nationalities has been revealed in reports.

The case comes as a result of a 1,400 kilo hashish haul found on a Marbella beach back on September 21, and reports indicate that the police operation remains open this (Tuesday) morning.

The Guardia Civil Internal Affairs Unit, based in Madrid has been directing the operation with a court in Málaga province, and Diario Sur reports that there are at least 12 arrest in total since September.

A ton of Mafia cocaine with a street value of more than £250 million after it was seized from a container vessel by Italian colleagues.

Officers from the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) passed the tip off on to Italian detectives after they were told of a ‘huge shipment’ of the class A drug had left South America and was heading for Europe.

The cocaine, which was destined for Italy and northern Europe, was found hidden inside farm machinery that had been on board a container loaded onto a freight vessel.
